Rustic decadence sets the tone for this Ventura landmark
Wine Lovers is has a 'rustic decadence' that is hard to explain, but once you've visited, you'll know what I mean. With live music more often than not, a small wine cellar bar, but large outside patio nestled into the side of the place, it's like being transported into someone's Groovy Backyard of Partying. You know those friend's houses that you like to visit because it's so fun to chat and imbibe in? It's like that, but with friendly strangers, large outside fireplaces. Right next to the road, but I swear you'll never hear it.
It's a wine bar, so they got the vino angle tied up; over 30 wines by the glass, and the wine menu changes every three weeks, so you're bound to encounter some wines you haven't experienced yet! They also have beer on tap and bottled. No mixed drinks, but that's okay... if you're not a wine drinker, they'll get you interested. They don't really have a food menu, not like a traditional restaurant, but they do, for free, bake pizza in an outside fireplace oven for patron sniglets. These appetizers on the house, complimentary with your wine experience.
More often than not while attending, we have met some interesting folk. For some reason, Wine Lovers attracts good people, which is probably why it's such a popular hangout. Dancing inside, chilling outside with some friends and libations: what more could one ask for on a warm, Ventura evening?
